Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Reachtag (“we,” “us”) collects when you use our website, create an account, register a tag, or order a product, and how we use, share, and protect it. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google.

Contact information you provide. Your phone number and, if you add one, WhatsApp number, plus details about any item you register a tag to (its name, category, and optional identifying details).

Order information. Whatever you share with us when placing an order over WhatsApp — typically your name, phone number, and payment confirmation for a bank transfer.

Usage information. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website — for example, pages viewed, general device/browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address. This doesn't identify you personally.

• To create and manage your account.
• To let a finder who scans your tag contact you by phone or WhatsApp — this is the core purpose of the service.
• To process and fulfil your orders.
• To respond when you contact us for support, on WhatsApp or by email.
• To understand and improve how our website is used.

This is the part of our service that's most important to understand: while an item is active, anyone who scans its tag — no login or app required — can see the item's category and name, and can call or WhatsApp the phone number and WhatsApp number you provided for it. We don't show your email address on the public tag page.

You can deactivate an item at any time from your account, which immediately hides its contact details from anyone who scans it, and reactivate it again whenever you like.

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Google — for sign-in, and for website analytics via Google Analytics.
• Supabase — our database and authentication provider, which stores your account and item data securely on our behalf.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — only when you, or someone who scans your tag, chooses to start a WhatsApp conversation.
• Anyone required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Reachtag or others.

We keep your account and item information for as long as your account is active. If you or we delete your account, your items are removed and any tags linked to them are unlinked and marked “Reserved” so they can be reassigned. We may retain limited records (such as order or payment confirmations) for as long as needed to meet legal or accounting obligations.

• Update your phone or WhatsApp number anytime from your profile.
• Deactivate or reactivate any tag anytime.
• Ask us to delete your account and data by messaging us on WhatsApp or emailing us — see below.
• Opt out of Google Analytics using a browser extension like Google's opt-out add-on, or your browser's tracking-protection settings.

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, and Google Analytics cookies to understand website usage. We don't use cookies for third-party advertising.

Reachtag isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections and database access controls — to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the “Last updated” date above whenever we do.
